About Katherine
I am sure you are here out of idle curiosity or a time to kill moment. The important bits are simple. I love children. I love to write. Hence, a children’s author.
My debut children’s book, I Love You, won the 27th Annual Writers Digest Grand Prize Award for 2020.
I am currently working on a children’s series from A to Z. Of course not in order, because that would be too conventional. My head spins with stories, so luckily, I do not lack for ideas.
I studied at BYU, many community colleges (we traveled a lot), and Park University. I have a 2nd-degree black belt in Karate and had the privilege of studying kung fu at Wudang Mountain in China. I love jumping out of planes, cooking, and, of course, reading.
I am madly and deeply in love with my six children and eight grandchildren. I believe that love and kindness can still change the world, one person, at a time. Reading to a child creates a priceless bond. To be able to strengthen that relationship, in any measure, is my goal and my honor.
I love you fiercely as a mamma bear. I love you softly as the meadow hare.
I love you deeply as the great blue whale. I love you sweetly as the nightingale.
